2019 Friends Annual Meeting: Saturday, June 8, 2019, 9–11:30 a.m.

Bear Research and Management in Wisconsin – David MacFarland

Breakfast buffet, business meeting, and presentation

Join us for our annual celebration, beginning with a scrumptious breakfast buffet and short business meeting, then our featured presentation.

Wisconsin is home to one of the largest black bear populations in the lower 48. This population has grown dramatically and expanded into new areas of central and southern Wisconsin over the last 30 years. Come learn about the history of bears in the state, the scientific research conducted by the DNR and how it translates into management of this iconic species. David is a Wildlife Research Team Leader at the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.

Registration is required. Tickets are $35. Those who registered for the entire Luncheon-Lectures series are registered for the annual meeting at no additional cost.
