Friends of the Arboretum (FOA) is a nonprofit membership organization that supports the UW–Madison Arboretum’s work and mission. Since 1962, FOA has provided volunteer and financial support for community outreach and education. Membership in the Friends is a commitment to the principles and practice of ecological restoration.

  • NewsLeaf, the quarterly member newsletter, which includes FOA news, a calendar of events, and FOA announcements
  • Early/priority registration for FOA events including the popular Luncheon-Lectures series featuring noted speakers
  • 10 percent discount at the annual Native Plant Sale

Membership levels

Yearly membership contributions for individuals and families are available at several levels:

  • Member $40
  • Supporting Member $70
  • Sustaining Member $125
  • Legacy Member $300
  • Patron Member $1,000
  • Life Member $5,000

Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
