In September and October, photographs by Julie Raasch will be on view in the Steinhauer Trust Gallery. Julie Raasch’s photography is driven by light. She is an observer of nature, color, and how light plays in the environment. It silhouettes, highlights, and most importantly brings out color where it was once hidden by darkness. “Nature: A Closer Look” is all about stopping and taking time to look at nature. To take it apart and look closely at individual items in nature—the colors of the lichens on a tree, a flower during a rain shower, a mushroom at eye level. Take a few minutes to look a little closer and observe nature at its finest.
