“Firelines: Humans and Habitat Renewal,” black-and-white panoramas of prescribed burns by Jill Metcoff, will be on view in the Steinhauer Trust Gallery from October 11 through December 27.

Metcoff’s photographs picture the breadth of land management, the concerted efforts to maintain and restore biodiversity, and the interactions that link humans and habitats in land stewardship. They were taken with a wide-field, medium-format camera in the Sauk County area from 2002 to 2015. The exhibit is curated and designed by Heather Sonntag.
