“Second Nature,” fiber works by members of the Women Who Run with Scissors textile art group, will be on view in the Steinhauer Trust Gallery in March and April.

Nature as inspiration is the group’s primary driving force. This exhibit features a group challenge: hidden miracles. Each member created a work expressive of something that might be overlooked or forgotten in busy daily lives. The intent is to pull the viewer into the stitching, painting, and piecing for a more intimate reflection of life. The exhibit balances artistic approaches and inspiration from nature to bind fabric and fiber into colorful contemporary art forms.
